Accrued Income Accrued Income
The amount of interest and dividends that was earned but not received during the reporting period. Dividends for securities that were sold before the 'ex-dividend' date will not be included in this total. Dividends for securities bought before the ex-dividend date will be included. For other assets, the accrual is an estimated amount which is that portion of the total that would have been calculated and constructively earned during the reporting period, based on the asset's actual payment period.
