Contingent Deferred Sales Charge (CDSC)
A form of commission that is paid to the broker when you sell mutual fund shares, rather than when you buy them. In a typical CDSC arrangement, the sales charge is phased out over a period of time. Also known as a contingent deferred sales load (CDSL) or back-end load.
