Once you've completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and your loan application has been approved and processed, funds will automatically be disbursed to your school once the school certifies your loan.
Yes, but you must first contact your school to determine what increase (if any) can be made.
No. You can return any portion of the funds back to your lender or school. The funds will be posted to your account as a payment and applied back to your principal. If you return the unwanted funds to your school, your school will return those funds to the lender.
Your federal loan application must contain your original signature or your application must be signed online using an electronic signature.
You may download a new application or return to our home page and re-apply online.
Your school determines your disbursement dates. We disburse loan funds on the dates the school specifies in its loan certification. Thus, you should contact your school with your request.
