STOP PAYMENT
Did you know Online Banking customers can place a stop payment on a check written from their account online, in a matter of minutes?
Current Online Banking Customers
To request a stop payment on a single check or a range of checks:

From the wachovia.com home page, enter your User ID and Password to login to Online Banking.

On the My Accounts page, click on Stop Payment (checks) in the Customer Service box located on the right-hand side of the page.

On the Stop Payment page, select an account and a reason for requesting the Stop Payment.

Select either Check Number and enter the number or select Range of Check Numbers and enter the From and To numbers.

You may enter the optional information of Check Written To, Check Amount, and Date Check Was Written, if you would like.

Click Submit and your Stop Payment will be processed.
To cancel your stop payment request:

If you have not clicked Submit—click Cancel to erase the form.

If you have already clicked Submit—please call us at 800-WACHOVIA (800-922-4684) and we will be glad to assist you.
Please note: Clicking your browser's Stop button may not stop your transaction.
Not an Online Banking Customer?
If you are not currently an Online Banking customer, you can enroll now. Or, you can place a Stop Payment by calling 800-WACHOVIA (800-922-4684), 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
