Prospectus
The official booklet that describes a security. A prospectus is required for a variable annuity but not for a fixed annuity. The prospectus contains information as required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on such subjects as the variable sub-accounts investment objectives and policies, services, investment restrictions, officers, directors, fund fees and other charges, and the fund's financial statements.
