SELF-DIRECTED BROKERAGE

Wachovia Securities Direct (WSD) gives you two ways to place trades and monitor the market and your account—with our Online Brokerage service, and through a Wachovia Securities Direct broker. Use your PC or phone to place trades, access your account information, obtain quotes, and stay on top of market changes—we provide the resources you need to make smart, self-directed investment decisions where, when, and how you choose.

If you're an active online trader, our new Wachovia Securities Direct tiered commission schedule allows you to take advantage of lower trade commissions including a lower per share price.1

Online Brokerage
Online Brokerage enables you to manage your portfolio when it suits you, from anywhere you have Internet access.2 And if you’re new to online investing, our knowledgeable staff is just a phone call away. They’ll walk you through the process, step by step, until you feel comfortable placing trades on your own.

From the convenience of your computer, you can:

  • Place orders and confirm trades of stocks, and other investments.
  • Check your account balances, holdings, recent activity, and unrealized gains/losses.
  • Obtain free, unlimited quotes and 20-minute delayed streaming quotes.
  • Download your account information to Quicken®, Microsoft® Money, or Excel.
  • Sign up for Market Alerts and Execution Alerts.
  • Create up to four Watch Lists of 100 symbols each, and explore Planning Calculators.
  • Use the Equity and Mutual Fund Screeners to search ratings, news, and analyses on over 10,000 securities and 500 fund families.

Mutual Funds are sold by prospectus. Please consider the investment objectives, risks, charges, and expenses carefully before investing. The prospectus, which contains this and other information, can be obtained by calling your Financial Advisor. Read it carefully before you invest.
  • Get the latest financial news, market commentary, and industry research reports as well as correspondent and affiliate research.

Wachovia Securities Direct Broker
Whenever you need investment assistance, call an experienced WSD broker at (800) 326-4434, 8:00am to 6:00pm ET, Monday through Friday. If your needs go beyond the occasional trade, you can even obtain a direct, toll-free number for a specific broker who can place all your trades and be your main point of contact.

Upon request, you may also receive:

  • Assistance in placing market, limit, and stop-loss orders.
  • Confirmation of market order executions while you stay on the line.
  • Updates on market indexes, as well as industry and financial news.
  • Answers to questions on a variety of topics, such as using a margin account and placing options orders for qualified investors.

Margin borrowing adds risk to your investments and is not suitable for all investors. If the market value of the eligible securities in your margin account declines, you may be required to deposit more money or eligible securities in order to maintain your line of credit, or we may be forced to sell securities held in your account.
