HOW CAN I SAVE MONEY ON THIS LOAN?At Wachovia, we offer immediate savings to our Graduate PLUS Loan customers. Unlike other lenders whose rebates may be available after twelve, twenty-four or thirty-six months of on-time payments, our interest rate reduction is applied immediately after full disbursement. When you choose Wachovia as your Graduate PLUS Loan provider, you can receive two money-saving benefits1:
You receive a 0.60% interest rate reduction immediately after your first disbursement, lowering the 8.50% fixed rate to 7.90%. This incentive rate is retained for the life of the loan, provided that your first 12 regularly scheduled payments are made on time. Automatic payments are not required to participate and deferred repayment will not affect your eligibility for this rebate. In addition, 180 days after full disbursement, a three percent interest credit in an amount equal to your origination fee will be subtracted from your accrued interest. Over the life of the loan, these savings can really add up.

1 This benefit program may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice. Program changes will not affect loans that qualify for the benefit prior to the time of the change. Interest rate reduction continues while your PLUS Loan is held by Wachovia and also terminates upon loan default, loan transfer to the guarantor or insurer, or inclusion of your PLUS Loan in a consolidation loan. Borrower is responsible for payment of applicable taxes.
