Since opening our doors in 1984 as "Educaid®," Wachovia Education Finance has become the fifth largest student loan provider and the fourth largest holder of student loans in the country.
In those early years, we were known as "Educaid, Your Student Loan Specialist,SM" and students and parents were encouraged to call 1-800-EDUCAID® (1-800-338-2243) for all of their education loan needs. Today as Wachovia Education Finance, our customers still call us at 1-800-338-2243 and we've helped millions to reach their education goals.
In addition to Federal Stafford Loans for student borrowers, we offer Federal PLUS Loans for parents and graduate students, Federal Consolidation Loans, and alternative loans for undergraduate, graduate, continuing, professional, and international students.
