With the Graduate PLUS Loan you may borrow up to your total cost of education, minus all of the other financial aid you’ve been awarded.
Use your PLUS Loan funds to cover educational expenses.
Your PLUS Loan can be used to cover your total cost of education—that includes tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. Your school will determine and certify the maximum amount you are eligible to receive.
Funds are sent directly to the school.
Once the loan is approved, loan funds will be sent to your school to cover those educational expenses first. Funds will be disbursed on a schedule that is determined by your school and any remaining funds will be returned to you to help cover any other education expenses.
