RESEARCH PUBLISHES GREEN REPORT

Greening of AmericaWachovia’s Research division — a part of the Corporate and Investment Bank — has released a comprehensive report examining what being “green” means for investors and for companies in each sector of the economy.

More than 40 senior research analysts from Wachovia’s fixed income and equity research platforms contributed to The Greening of America, which offers a unique examination of green opportunities and challenges across the economy that drive investment, innovation and ultimately profit.

“While competitor reports provide a 10,000-foot view, our report takes a unique company-centric approach and is the culmination of several months of dialogue with many of the most innovative and dynamic companies in the nation,” said Diane Schumaker-Krieg, global head of Research.

“The report includes 46 case studies illustrating how corporate America is being challenged by, responding to and, in many cases, profiting from the green revolution.”

The 255-page report also presents specific ways individual investors can participate in the new green investment trends. A section called “What is Green?” discusses key sustainability concepts such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, government regulation and the economics of being green.
