ONLINE STATEMENTSWhat is an Online Statement? What is an Online Statement?Online Statements are exact images of your paper account statements you receive in the mail today. They allow you to receive your statement faster, access your statement online, reduce clutter by eliminating your paper statement, and increase your banking security. What is the difference between Online Banking transaction activity and Online Statements? Transaction activity within Online Banking displays current and past account activity for up to 90 days. Online Statements is a free feature of Online Banking, which allows you to view exact images of your paper statements online. You will have up to 16 months of statement history beginning with your most recent statement. They may be printed for record keeping. Is there a fee for Online Statements?No. There is no fee to view your statements online. Does an online statement look like my paper statement?Yes. Online Statements are exact images of the paper statements you receive in the mail today. What types of accounts are Online Statements available for?Online Statements is available for any Wachovia checking, savings, money market, or brokerage account. Will I receive canceled checks or images of my checks with Online Statements? If you currently receive copies or images of your cancelled checks with your statement in the mail, check images will be included with Online Statements. You will no longer receive them in the mail. If you don't currently receive copies or images of your cancelled checks with your paper statement, you can request this by calling 800-WACHOVIA (800-922-4684). Please note front and back images of your check are available for up to 90 days within Online Banking. Are Online Statements official documents that I can use for record-keeping, taxes, etc.? Yes. It is legally acceptable to use your Online Statements for record keeping purposes. Your Online Statement is an exact image of your paper statement and can be printed in the same format. How will I know when my statement is available to view online?An email alert will be sent to the primary email address on file every time a new statement is ready to be viewed. If you have more than one account statement enrolled, you will receive multiple alerts. The email will not contain the statement; you will need to log into Online Banking in order to view your statement. How many months of statements are available to me online?Up to 16 months of statements are available online. If I sign up for Online Statements, will I still receive paper statements in the mail?No. After signing up for Online Statements, you will no longer receive paper statements in the mail. Online Statements are exact images of your paper statements, and, when printed, they mirror your paper statements. With Online Statements, you can view your account statement online and get statement printouts. In addition, eliminating your paper statements and viewing your statements online reduces your risk of mail fraud and identity theft. Will I receive regulatory or legal inserts/notices with Online Statements? Yes. All regulatory inserts will appear as separate links next to your Online Statements. They will appear as a PDFs, similar to your Online Statements. Will I be able to view my personal and business accounts on the same Online Statement the way I currently do with my paper statements?The Online Statement you receive will be an exact image of your paper statement. If the paper statement you receive today displays both your personal and business accounts, you will be able to view them on the same Online Statement. Are Online Statements more secure than paper statements? Yes. By enrolling in Online Statements, you will actually reduce your risk for mail fraud and identity theft. Wachovia encourages its customers to receive Online Statements in order to help protect their identities. Do I have to enroll in Online Banking to see my Online Statements? Yes. To access and sign up for Online Statements, you first need to be enrolled in Online Banking. Online Banking is free and enrollment is easy. |
