EMAIL FRAUD ALERT - ONLINE SERVICES UPGRADE


Wachovia has become aware of fraudulent emails designed to capitalize on our recent Online Banking and Online Banking with BillPay services upgrade.

Online Services Upgrade Details in Secure Message Center
If you are affected by this upgrade, you will receive an email alert from Wachovia to notify you about a message in Wachovia’s secure online Message Center. We will not send upgrade communications directly to your email and this alert will not ask for your personal information. You may also receive communications by U.S. mail.

Do Not Log in Through Emails
Wachovia will never ask you to login or provide personal details through a link in your email. If you do receive an email about the Online Services upgrade that requests personal information about your account, asks you to click on a link or log in, do not reply or click on any links, do not change the email in any way, forward the email to abuse@wachovia.com, and then delete it. An email about the recent upgrade that requests you to click a link or log in is not authorized by Wachovia.

If you have already responded to one of these emails and provided personal information about a Wachovia account, or you suspect fradulent activity related to your Wachovia account, please contact Wachovia's Loss Management, Special Investigations unit immediately at (888) 647-3648.
