Wachovia Signs Sponsorship Deal With New York Giants Company becomes official financial services provider of the New York Giants SUMMIT, NJ - Wachovia Corporation announced today that it will be the exclusive and official financial services partner of the New York Giants. "This is a partnership between a premier NFL team and a premier financial institution," said Reggie Davis, Wachovia's CEO for New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. "As we brand Wachovia in this area, it makes sense to partner with an organization that shares our values of integrity, teamwork and winning. We are pleased and proud to be affiliated with the New York Giants." Wachovia, the largest financial services company on the East Coast, recently opened its first financial centers in Manhattan, and the New York Giants partnership supports that initiative. "The television, print, internet and in-stadium advertising and visibility Wachovia receives as part of this sponsorship reinforces our branding efforts throughout the tri-state area and in Manhattan," Davis explained. "This kind of market penetration will allow us to quickly achieve our goal of making Wachovia a household name." "The Giants organization is pleased to be a part of the brand launch of Wachovia within the greater New York metropolitan area," said John Mara, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Giants. "We have enjoyed a close, 25-year relationship with Wachovia's New Jersey division, which was instrumental in the creation of Giants Stadium. We are proud to be a marketing partner with Wachovia as it expands upon its physical presence within the tri-state marketplace."
