Jeffrey Gelfand Joins Wachovia Securities, LLC as CFO

Richmond, Va. -- Wachovia Securities, LLC, announced today that Jeffrey Gelfand has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer. Gelfand joins Wachovia Securities from Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently Chief Financial Officer of that firm's Global Private Client Group, which employs approximately 13,000 financial advisors.

Gelfand will be based in Wachovia Securities' Richmond, Va., headquarters and will serve on the firm's Operating Committee, its senior leadership panel.
