A native of Kingsport, Tenn., Howle has 17 years of banking experience, including significant leadership roles at other companies.  He joined Wachovia in March 2003 to lead its Private Advisory Banking group, which serves Affluent customers.  He also has led Wachovia’s Retail Small Business segment since 2004.  In his new position, he will manage executives who lead each of Wachovia’s Retail and Small Business segments and be responsible for the overall success of the bank’s Retail and Small Business segment efforts.
