Wachovia Names Gibson Commercial Banking Executive for North and South Carolina Gibson will be located in Columbia, S.C. CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wachovia has named Stan F. Gibson Commercial Banking Executive for the company's Carolinas Banking Group, including North and South Carolina. Gibson will be responsible for developing strategies for middle market client acquisition, expansion and retention for companies with annual revenue of over $15 million. He also will be responsible for the company's sales efforts in the Government and Institutional markets of North and South Carolina. Gibson brings more than 30 years in Carolinas banking experience to this role. Most recently, he was president of Bank of America's South Carolina operations. He will report to Carlos Evans, EVP and Wholesale Executive for Wachovia's General Bank. "We are thrilled to have Stan join our team," said Evans.
