Many different parts of Wachovia's business are involved in our environmental stewardship, including our business leaders, relationship managers, and real estate and procurement staff. In addition, Wachovia employees help in many different ways through personal efforts like recycling and carpooling. A governance structure helps bring together many different initiatives across the company to ensure a focused, thoughtful approach to our total environmental stewardship program.
Executive Oversight
Wachovia's corporate Operating Committee, chaired by Wachovia Chairman and CEO Ken Thompson, has executive oversight of Wachovia's environmental strategy.
Environmental Stewardship Working Group
An Environmental Stewardship Working Group, comprised of senior leaders from across Wachovia, meets regularly to lead development and implementation of environmental initiatives at Wachovia.
Environmental Affairs
The day-to-day management of Wachovia's environmental strategy is handled by the Environmental Affairs group.
