WACHOVIA REGIONAL FOUNDATION STAFFDenise McGregor Armbrister, Wachovia Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Wachovia Regional Foundation Denise McGregor Armbrister came to this position with extensive banking and nonprofit experience. Since 1984, Denise has worked at Wachovia in commercial banking and has specialized in healthcare, education, and government banking. Her most recent position at Wachovia before joining the Foundation was Vice President and Manager of Government Underwriting and Portfolio Management for the Northeast Region. Before coming to Wachovia, she served as Chief of Staff for the President of the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career in commercial banking at Chemical Bank (Chase) in New York. Denise is a board member of Harcum College and the Achievement Foundation. She is also a member of the Philadelphia School Reform Commission. She holds a BA in mathematics and psychology from Wellesley College and a MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
Kimberly Allen oversees the Foundation’s grantmaking processes. She was instrumental in the founding of the Wachovia Regional Foundation in 1997 and has been serving as a Program Officer since its inception. Kim began her career at Wachovia in 1987 in commercial banking and corporate cash management marketing. She joined the Community Development Division in 1993 and has held various positions as a community development funder, including Program Officer for Community Development Contributions Department and Investment Manager for the bank’s Regional Community Development Corporation. Kim serves on the board of directors of NeighborhoodsNow, Leadership Philadelphia, and Althea Gibson Community Education and Tennis Center. Kim holds a BA from University of Maryland in organizational psychology and dynamics and is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Philadelphia. Since taking this position in 2001, Lois Greco has managed the Foundation’s portfolio of performance-based grants with an approximate award value of $47 million. Lois joined Wachovia in 1994 and has served in various training and management roles in the commercial bank. Prior to joining Wachovia, she served as Goodwill Industry of Eastern North Carolina’s first Director of Development. She began her career in banking in 1988 at Chemical Bank (Chase) in New York in the bank’s specialized commercial banking group, the Not-For-Profit Group. Lois serves as the State Coordinator of Wachovia’s Reading First program for the Pennsylvania and Delaware regions, and also serves as the local Reading First coordinator in two elementary schools. She has served as Chair of her church’s financial development team for its recently completed new facility project, and is active in her community’s local school association. Lois earned a BA with Highest Honors in economics from Rutgers College. Rebecca Martinez is an Executive Assistant for the Wachovia Regional Foundation. Rebecca joined the Foundation in 2005, bringing with her extensive community relations experience. She joined Wachovia in 1992, and has worked in the Human Resources and Community Development groups. Prior to this Rebecca had over five years experience in supporting management for Human Resources in the areas of Recruitment, HR Consultants and Programs & Technology. Rebecca is a member of the Human Resources Community Relations Diversity Council for Wachovia. She pursued an AS in Computer Program from Emory College in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
