First Union and Wachovia Waive ATM Fees for Customers at Nearly 5,000 ATM Locations

WHO: | First Union and Wachovia customers | WHAT: | First Union and Wachovia announced today that, as an immediate result of the completion of their merger as the new Wachovia Corporation (NYSE: WB), ATM surcharges and non-First Union/Wachovia ATM transaction fees will be waived for customers of both banks at the nearly 5,000 First Union and Wachovia ATMs on the East Coast.
