First Union Promotes Debra Warren to President and CEO of First Union Mortgage Corp.
CHARLOTTE, NC - Debra M. Warren has been promoted to president and chief executive officer (CEO) of First Unions Mortgage Corp., a subsidiary of First Union Corp.
As president and CEO, Warren will oversee the direction of mortgage lending activities and mortgage product responsibility for all of First Unions Mortgage Corp. operations.
"Warrens experience as head of First Unions Residential Lending Division positioned her well for president and CEO," said Jim Maynor, executive vice president, First Union Consumer Lending. "She has extensive knowledge of the companys mortgage operations and production and is a role model for success and leadership. Warrens experience and strategic initiatives are a driving force in First Union Mortgage Corp.s continued success."
Warren began her career with First Union in 1983 as an internal management consultant. Since then she has held leadership positions as head of First Unions Management Advisory Services, Residential Operations division and the Residential Lending division.
Warren has a bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a masters in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
