First Union Mortgage Corporation Offers $2,500 Through First-time Home Buyers Sweepstakes
Informative emails educate potential first-time home buyers
CHARLOTTE, NC - First Union Mortgage Corporation (FUMC) has launched an email campaign targeting first-time home buyers.
The First Time Home Buyers Sweepstakes aims to educate consumers on what they need to know about the home buying process. Once registered, consumers will receive a series of emails designed to explain the home buying experience in everyday terms. Topics covered include: the financial incentives of buying a home, choosing a real estate agent and closing costs.
"Buying a home can be confusing and a little scary," said Joan Sommerer, vice president and manager of the Mortgage Direct area of FUMC. "We want to demystify the process and help people answer the difficult questions."
Consumers can register for the free program by logging on to First Union Corporation's website, www.firstunion.com/firsthome, and clicking on the banner that says: "First Time Home Buyers Sweepstakes." Participants do not have to be First Union customers to use the program. Once registered, they are automatically entered into a sweepstakes to win $2,500. Two winners will be chosen on December 29, 2000 and February 28, 2001.
