FORT MYERS, Fla. - Karen Swanbeck, of Fort Myers Beach, is the grand prize winner in First Union's Sign and Drive promotion. First Union regional president, Dick Botthof, will present the keys to Ms. Swanbeck during a special ceremony, Tuesday October 6, at 3:00 p.m. at First Union's Fort Myers Beach financial center located at 2815 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
First Union launched the Sign and Drive promotion to educate consumers about the convenience and flexibility VISA CheckCards offer. The promotion kicked off in July and was open to all Florida residents 21 years old or older who used their First Union VISA CheckCard to make a PIN-less purchase requiring a signature. The winner was drawn from all transaction and write-in entries compiled during the promotion duration from July 6 to August 31.
The First Union VISA CheckCard is the go everywhere, do everything card. It allows consumers to make purchases at over 15 million VISA merchants
worldwide, and customers can access their accounts to make ATM withdraws, deposits, transfer funds, or get a current account balance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The CheckCard works like a check with purchases deducted directly from the customers' checking account.
