FIRST UNION PROMOTES CHRIS DANIELS TO AREA PRESIDENT
Petersburg, VA -- Christine Gould Daniels has been promoted to area president for the greater Tri-Cities area. Daniels has been with First Union since 1997 as vice president and manager of the Tri-Cities Commercial Bank.
Daniels will lead the banks business and community outreach efforts in the Tri-Cities area, with special focus on the Petersburg, Hopewell and Williamsburg communities.
"First Union already has a strong local retail business. We also see a tremendous opportunity to reach and serve new, local commercial customers," said Daniels. " Our strategy is to continue to meet the needs of our existing clients while showing prospective customers how we can establish strong business partnerships."
Daniels is a certified cash manager and financial planner. She received a bachelors of science in Marketing and Management from McIntire School of Commerce and her masters in business administration from the University of Richmond.
Daniels is actively involved with local civic and professional organizations. She is chairman of the Board of Directors for the Crisis and Response Emergency Shelter, and serves as a board member for Crater Development Company, Petersburg Community Development Corporation and Southside Virginia Emergency Crew.
