When will World Savings branches become Wachovia Financial Centers?
A detailed conversion plan is being developed and is likely to take effect beginning in the fourth quarter of 2007 for the Western and Central regions. The Eastern region financial centers will begin converting in the first quarter of 2008. Customers will receive advance notice prior to any changes to their accounts or the replacement of signs on World Savings branches.

How were World Savings customers notified about the merger?
News of the merger was announced in May 2006, and copies of that announcement and other press releases are on World Savings' and Wachovia's Web sites. Additional press releases related to the merger will continue to be posted on both companies' Web sites. Customers will be notified by mail well in advance of account changes that may occur during conversion.

Can customers access or transact on their World Savings accounts at Wachovia Financial Centers?

However, ATMs of both banks will be available to customers of both banks beginning October 2, 2006 to make cash withdrawals and obtain balance transactions without paying a surcharge or transaction fee.

Products and Services

Will World Savings continue to pay competitive interest rates on CDs?
Because interest rates are determined by market conditions such as the rates offered by other financial institutions, the returns earned on loans and other investments, and the state of the economy in general, we cannot guarantee what interest rates will be paid on CDs in the future.

However, as always, customers can be confident that World Savings is committed to the same strong relationship with customers that it has maintained in the past.

Will ATMs be available at World Savings branches again?
Yes. The plan is to install ATMs at all World Savings branches.
