How does the Tax & Insurance Payment service work?

This free service is a convenient way to ensure that your tax and insurance payments are always made on time. You simply set up an escrow account (also known as an impound account), which enables you to pay your property taxes, private mortgage insurance premiums, or hazard insurance payments in equal installments over a 12-month period. These installments are incorporated into your monthly or bi-weekly mortgage payment to World Savings. It's a sure, consistent way to handle these important obligations.

  1. World Savings sets up the account when we receive your signed form and supporting document(s).
  2. We divide the sum of your annual tax and/or insurance payments by the number of mortgage payments you make in a year (12 or 24).
  3. You pay the resulting amount as part of each mortgage payment.
  4. We deposit the amount you pay in your escrow account.
  5. World Savings uses the funds held in escrow to make your tax and/or insurance payments when they are due.
