Settlement Date
(1) The date on which the purchase or sale of a security is settled. (2) In Foreign Exchange, the date on which a foreign exchange transaction is settled by payment and delivery. Also called value date. (3) The date that Wachovia will debit (or credit) the company's account for the total amount of an ACH file.
