A lost document notice will be sent to the Servicer. The Servicer should take the necessary steps to retrieve the information needed to prepare the lost note affidavit or lost mortgage satisfaction.
The Servicer is responsible for preparing satisfactions. Assignments are generally in the collateral files. Contact your Documentation Release Area representative, Angela Rainey (704) 632-1046, 8:30am to 5:30pm ET, Monday through Friday, for additional information in cases of missing assignments.
No. We have relationships with several designated custodians that handle the document storage and retrieval process.
