First Union Securities Hires Managing Director, Scott Schaevitz, To Join Real Estate Investment Banking

NEW YORK-First Union Securities has announced that Scott Schaevitz has joined the firm as a managing director and head of real estate advisory in Real Estate Investment Banking. Schaevitz, formerly head of real estate equity and advisory in Prudential Securities' Real Estate Investment Banking Group, will work out of First Union Securities' New York office.

"Scott's expertise will be instrumental in expanding our investment banking services to our real estate clients," said Lawrence Gray, head of First Union Securities' Real Estate Investment Banking Group. "We look forward to Scott's contributions in helping our clients take their businesses to the next level."

Schaevitz joins First Union Securities from Prudential Securities, a firm he joined in 1992 at the inception of its Real Estate Investment Banking Group effort.  Prior to Prudential Securities, he worked in various capacities for Shearson Lehman Brothers and E.F. Hutton & Company, Inc. He received his BA/BS from Tufts University and his MBA from New York University. He also studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
