GRANT GUIDELINES
Mission and Goals The MGN Family Foundation goals are to make grants in fields of education, health care, medical research, children's programs, and to help those in the US Military, including their families. The examples provided below reflect the true mission and goals of the MGN Foundation. Institutions and areas of particular interest include: Colleges, Universities and Private Schools—Examples would be to fund a chair to provide lecturers in Literature, Philosophy or the Arts, and to provide Scholarships. Hospitals and Clinics—Examples would be those medical facilities which specialize in excellent patient care and continuing medical research, (i.e., Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, The Mayo Clinic, and The Cleveland Clinic). Also under consideration are hospice organizations which provide palliative care to the dying. Organizations that support children in need whether due to emotional, physical abuse, neglect or disadvantaged circumstances. Support can be for basic necessities such as food, shelter, education and medical, as well as spiritual and emotional counseling. Community Welfare with a specific focus to U. S. Military personnel and their families—Examples are those organizations which give support to the unique needs of the military, in light of the recent events surrounding the turn of this century.
Restrictions None, other than those delineated in the Application and Instructions. No request will be excluded from consideration due to race or creed, provided that all applicants have a strong moral base and core values in the areas listed above.
