GRANT GUIDELINES

Mission and Goals:

It is the mission of the Foundation to support those organizations which had been supported by Mr. Niessen during his lifetime.  They are

1. Red Cloud Indian School of Pine Ridge, South Dakota
2. Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center of Huntington Valley, PA, and
3. The Society for the Propagation of the Faith, Philadelphia, Pa

The Foundation also supports

1. Organizations that provide health services for all ages
2. Organizations which educate the needy and educable at all academic levels, without regard to age
3. Organizations working for and on behalf of youth and the elderly, and which provide assistance to the homeless and economically disadvantaged.
4. Organizations which provide spiritual and emotional guidance

Restrictions:  None, other than those listed in the application instructions.  The Niessen Foundation normally does not consider grants for endowment.
